Notable:

Prior to Silver Atlas Alan has played in number of bands with notable artists such as Jerome Dillion (drummer NIN) Scott Bennet ( music director, Brain Wilson) Bobby MacIntire (drummer Twilight Singer). 

Ruffin grew up in the town of Saginaw, Michigan which gave us Steve Wonder, Sunny Stit, Members of The Verve Pip, Steven Lynch and many others.  After Moving to Chicago he started a band called Viery Peel with former Blue October Guitar Player Brant Culture after  artist differences the band spit up and Ruffin began working with another musician (Jason Lichon) haling from Saginaw and Silver Atlas was Born.
