The opening guitar riff is something I've been noodling around with on my acoustic guitar for a few weeks now. I was initially hesistent to try and use it in a Silver Atlas song because it seemed like some sort of bluegrass riff, but after matching it with counter riff and a beat I think it might end up working out. This first version essentially represents a single session, and I'm pretty happy with the way the first part is going (the verse, if you will), but I'm not certain that the second part (chorus) will work out. It's a pretty sudden shift from the bluesy feel to more of a rock rave up ... but maybe.
